Plan Reviewer and Building/Electrical Inspector
Following graduation from Apollo High School in 1983, Kyle attended and graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1988. Kyle later attended Kentucky Tech and studied courses in electricity, welding, and emergency medical technology.
Kyle worked as an electrician from 1986 to 1997, installing electrical systems in residential, commercial, industrial, and farm structures. Kyle passed the Master Electrical Contractor’s test in 1997.
Kyle was employed by the City of Owensboro as a Facility Maintenance Laborer before becoming a Building and Electrical Inspector for the Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission in March , 1998. Since his employment with OMPC, Kyle has achieved the Commonwealth requirements to be certified as:
- Electrical Inspector
- One and Two Family Dwelling Inspector
- Level I Building Inspector
- Level II Building Inspector
- Level III Plans and Specifications Inspector
Kyle is an active member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and Code Administrators Association of Kentucky, and successfully meets the continuing education requirements each year as required by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Kyle’s duties include plan review for compliance with the Kentucky Building Code, Fire Sprinkler Code, Fire Alarm Code, Mechanical Code and the National Electrical Code.
